How do I use groups? 

Open Participants and select Groups from its menu. Create groups, add participants manually or use automatic group creation. A grouping is a collection of groups that can be assigned to selected activities.

Set group mode at course or activity level: Separate groups prevents participants from seeing other groups, while Visible groups allows viewing but not participation in other groups. Test the activity with the intended role because group behaviour varies by activity.
